When this website was first published in 2001 – a few years before the ukulele became popular worldwide – automatic translation tools, such as those available in most browsers today, did not yet exist.
At the time, the response to this project came predominantly from abroad, so this separate homepage in English proved to be a sensible choice.
In the years that followed, the ukulele also became very popular in my country, which meant that this website became increasingly of interest to German readers. I therefore began to update the content mostly in German only, whilst the basic menu remained in the English section as on top of this page.
Since a number of websites from that era still contain links to my English pages, this entry page remains as well.
